AEQ has completed a comprehensive upgrade of the studio infrastructure at Radio Siberia 107.8 FM, a municipal radio station in Siruela, a town in Spain’s eastern province of Badajoz. The station, which has been broadcasting for over 14 years, serves the province’s entire central La Siberia region. It adopted its name due to the transmitter’s strategic placement and the absence of competing FM broadcasts.
The upgrade includes the installation of a Capitol IP digital mixer with an eight-channel fixed configuration, the AudioPlus automation system, a Venus4 IP audiocodec, a Mercury audiocodec and a Talent ultra-compact audiocodec, which are used for broadcasting plenary sessions and other events. Additional equipment provided includes an FM tuner, CD player, multimedia systems, headphones, self-powered loudspeakers, microphones and table microphone stands, all set up for self-monitoring in the studio.
AEQ also supplied and managed the engineering for all necessary cabling and installed on-air signaling accessories and HB-02 headphone regulator microphone connection plates. This modernization aims to enhance the station’s audio broadcast quality and operational efficiency.
Radio Siberia 107.8 FM features 24/7 programming, with four hours daily dedicated to original content produced by 12 collaborators from diverse fields such as nutrition, psychology and sports. The station says the studio enhancement ensures better performance and quality for its listeners.
