Dielectric has appointed Dan Glavin to the role of Western Region sales manager.
Glavin steps into the role immediately, with responsibility for all U.S. TV and FM sales and customer service west of the Mississippi River. He reports to Jay Martin, Dielectric’s VP of Sales.
Glavin joined Dielectric in 2018 as an electrical engineer, with emphasis on system design, data analysis and antenna testing. He led technical development initiatives and field installations for RFHawkeye, an IP-based RF monitoring system. His ability to clearly communicate technical concepts led to invitations for industry speaking engagements, and ultimately the appointment to this sales role.
“Dan will be a strong mediator who can communicate complex technical requirements between our customers and internal Dielectric engineers,” said Martin. “His fluency in Spanish will benefit the Hispanic communities we serve, and his experience across site logistics, off-air challenges and other common over-the-air issues will benefit all customers.”
Glavin looks forward to assisting customers with the unique challenges of specifying antennas and RF systems, adding that his design engineering experience will provide strong guidance in determining the appropriate solution for each broadcaster.

He replaces Steven Moreen, who retires following a 52-year career in the broadcast industry. Moreen’s nearly lifelong love of broadcasting began as a Ham radio enthusiast in 1967, and he landed his first job in commercial broadcasting as a high school student in 1969.
