The Beasley Media Group has locked up a partnership with the Vegas Golden Knights pro ice hockey team, according to a release.
Sports radio is one of the stronger formats in radio over the last decade. Listeners can’t seem to get enough of it and it is very strong via in-car listenership.
The partnership covers games, support programming, podcasts and other media avenues. Las Vegas stations KVGS(FM) for English-language and KOAS(FM) for Spanish-language are the big winners but other area Beasley properties will be involved.
In addition the deal also includes coverage of the locally-based minor league Henderson Silver Knights.
Vegas Golden Knights President of Business Operations John Penhollow said, “With X107.9 [KVGS] as our flagship station and 105.7 Maxima [KOAS] serving as our Spanish-language home, we’ll be able to reach fans across the region through our radio broadcasts, This partnership gives us a great opportunity to connect with our fans in new and meaningful ways throughout the year, not just on game days, and will broaden the connection to the Golden Knights and the future stars with the Silver Knights.”
