Finnish professional monitoring manufacturer Genelec will demonstrate workflows designed to maintain a consistent audio reference across fixed studios, networked facilities and mobile production at IBC2026. The company will divide its demonstrations between Hall 10 and the 120dB OB Truck during the Sept. 11–14 show in Amsterdam. The two installations will cover immersive Dolby Atmos monitoring, audio-over-IP integration and mobile broadcast production.
Genelec’s indoor demonstration will center on a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos system featuring its 8380A SAM Main Monitors, The Ones coaxial point-source monitors and two subwoofers. The system will demonstrate immersive monitoring for broadcast, post-production and live production applications. Genelec designed the configuration to provide consistent localization, clarity and full-range reproduction across the listening area.
The company will also present its UNIO Audio Monitoring Ecosystem, which brings loudspeaker and headphone monitoring into a common workflow. UNIO combines Genelec’s Smart Active Monitoring technology with GLM 5 loudspeaker management software, the 9320A SAM Reference Controller and Aural ID binaural virtual monitoring. The ecosystem allows engineers to manage and calibrate monitoring systems while moving between rooms, locations and production formats.
For networked production, Genelec will demonstrate the 9401A and 9402A AoIP System Management Devices. The 9401A connects Smart Active Monitoring systems to Ravenna-based workflows, while the 9402A provides a Dante-focused route into the same monitoring environment. Together, the devices extend UNIO control and monitoring across complex IP-based broadcast infrastructures.
The 120dB OB Truck will provide a working counterpart to the indoor system, serving as a mobile Dolby Atmos recording and broadcast facility equipped with Genelec monitoring. Genelec Managing Director Siamäk Naghian noted, “Broadcast production continues to evolve rapidly, requiring professionals to work seamlessly between fixed facilities, remote production environments and mobile workflows. What remains constant is the need for an accurate, reliable monitoring reference.” The 120dB production team and Genelec specialists will conduct demonstrations aboard the truck each day.
