Kings Place will host the 10th edition of the London Podcast Festival from Sept. 4–14, 2025, marking a decade since the launch of what was then Europe’s first major podcast festival.
The 2025 edition will feature live and streamed performances by a diverse range of podcast creators, including returning fan favorites and new voices from across the podcasting spectrum. Over the past 10 years, the festival has welcomed more than 68,000 visitors and hosted over 750 different podcasts — from breakthrough shows like “My Dad Wrote a Porno” to long-running favorites such as “Three Bean Salad,” “Tommy’s Brownload” and “Jameela Jamil.”
“Ten years ago, we set out to make Kings Place the home of live podcasting. A decade later, we’re proud to still be at the centre of this vibrant community,” said Rebecca Millican, head of artistic planning at Kings Place. “Podcasting has grown into a cultural force and the London Podcast Festival is where fans can gather to celebrate, discover and connect.”
The festival will take place across all of Kings Place’s spaces, including the Podcast Lounge and canal-side terrace, with global access to select events via the KPlayer platform.
Event highlights
Organizers say highlights from the first wave of bookings include:
- “History Hit” (Sept. 4, 5 and 12) — The network makes its debut at the festival
- “Ade Oladipo Presents… The Green Chair” (Sept. 4, 7 p.m.) — Boxing insights and commentary
- “No Such Thing As A Fish” (Sept. 5 and 6, 7 p.m.) — A festival favorite returns with back-to-back shows
- “Tommy’s Brownload” (Sept. 5, 9:30 p.m.) — Popular British Asian podcast returns
- “Wooden Overcoats” (Sept. 7, 7 p.m.) — 10th anniversary special as part of Audio Drama Day
- “Wrestle Me!” (Sept. 7, 2 p.m.) — Wrestling commentary podcast returns
- “Making a Musical” (Sept. 11, 7 p.m.) — Behind the scenes of new British musicals
- “The Empire Film Podcast” (Sept. 13, 7 p.m.) — Film lovers’ favourite returns
- “Chart Music: The TOTP Podcast” (Sept. 13, 4:30 p.m.) — Deep-dive into Top of the Pops episodes
- “Wrong Turns with Jameela Jamil” (Sept. 14, 7 p.m.) — Honest conversations live on stage
- “Shaping Tomorrow Presented by Hear Art” (Sept. 14, 2 p.m.) — Deaf-led video podcast spotlights creative professionals
Commenting on their return, “No Such Thing As A Fish” said, “We couldn’t be happier to be back in the London Podcast Festival’s 10th year. Ten years is how long it takes to grow truffles from nothing…and instead they’ve just made a brilliant podcast festival.”
Beth Eyre, from “Wooden Overcoats Presents…Audio Drama Day,” added, “We’re celebrating 10 years of “Wooden Overcoats” with a brand new episode and with some of our favourite indie podcasts. A whole day of drama and comedy, performed live.”
