Cumulus Media’s 97.5 WABD, in partnership with Feeding the Gulf Coast, collected more than 1,360 kilograms (3,000 pounds) of non-perishable food during its annual Camp Out for Hunger drive, benefitting Gulf Coast families facing food insecurity.
The event, from Nov. 8 to Nov. 18 at a Walmart store in Mobile, Alabama, featured 97.5 WABD’s midday host and regional operations manager for Cumulus Mobile and Pensacola, Vincent “Mojo” Wilson, camping out on a school bus in the parking lot until the bus was filled with donations. Station staff, sponsors and community members supported the drive, which aims to help local families in need during the holiday season.
Don Boyd, regional vice president and market manager for Cumulus Mobile and Pensacola, said,
