Merging Technologies Upgrades Anibus SPS

 Merging Technologies Upgrades Anibus SPS

Swiss manufacturer Merging Technologies has added a number of new features to its Anubis interface AD/DA converter. Launched in 2019, the Ravenna/AES67 hub is designed for broadcasters looking to move their operations to regional data centers linked by IP.

Capable of monitoring large numbers of AES67 audio streams, the package is now both ST2110 and ST2022-7 compliant.

The company explains the original concept for Anubis was for a “low-cost, high-quality interface that could fit in a studio, post-production suite or similar environment,” without a redundant network topology. It says the design of Anubis meets present and future requirements through the use of tailored software.

In addition, Anubis SPS adds NMOS IS-04 (discovery and registration) and IS-05 (device connection management) to its list of features. Merging is simultaneously launching its Merging Audio Device, which it says, coupled with Anubis SPS, “opens remarkable possibilities.”

MAD is a multi-ASIO driver (also with WDM support) that has an infrastructure option that supports ST2022-7, ST2110, NMOS and virtual machine control. This latter feature recognizes that centralized data centers and server-based installations help efficiently manage broadcast industry tasks, said the firm..

ANUBIS SPS is now shipping and is fully ST2022-7 compliant.
