Broadcast Electronics recently worked with WVCR to replace its old audio automation system with the new BE AudioVault 11. WVCR is a noncommercial, listener-supported public media service of Siena College, a private Franciscan college in Loudonville, New York, in the United States. The station broadcasts to the metropolitan area surrounding Albany, the capital of New York state, with 25,000 watts as 88.3 The Saint — We Play Anything — variety hits format complemented with Spanish, Polish, Irish, and Siena College Athletics broadcasts.
“We operate a professionally formatted station to train Siena’s next generation of multimedia professionals through educational programs and hands-on experience while sharing the Franciscan tradition of Siena College with the public,” says WVCR General Manager Darin Kibbey.
“When the time came to update our aged automaton system, we evaluated all the leading options on the market and found AudioVault 11 provided the best mix of simple, easy-to-use graphical user interface, powerful programming tools, and rock-solid operations that we needed,” says Kibbey. “We couldn’t be happier with how the station sounds since turning on AudioVault 11, and the support has been great.”
“We are elated to be selected by WVCR and thank them for trusting Broadcast Electronics to help deliver their content to New York’s Capital Region,” says Rich Redmond, president and COO of Broadcast Electronics — Elenos Group. “AudioVault 11 simplifies operations, provides seamless cloud-enabled disaster recovery, and puts more power in the hands of WVCR programmers and students to create compelling content that connects with their listeners.”
