U.S. Black Chambers, an American minority-owned businesses group, is launching the USBC Radio Network, according to an announcement at the group’s annual conference in Washington, July 19.
The announcement provided few details but something important was program-related. The first program available will be “The Good News,” a daily 60-second commentary aiming at positive news for radio, podcast and streaming listeners. The host will be well-known activist and newspaper publisher Dr. Benjamin Chavis, Jr. This won’t be Chavis’ first radio program.
KMG Networks, which is part of the Krantz Media Group, will produce and distribute the program.
The announcement said, “‘The Good News’ will offer a fresh, timely, unique and brief perspective on the headline news of the day across America and throughout the world.”
KMG Networks CEO Gary Krantz said, “We are extremely excited that ‘The Good News’ will be the first offering from the new USBC Radio & Media Networks. Look for more content to come in the coming months.”
“The Good News” demo is available.
