Syndicate of Sounds will debut its new binaural audio software, Déjà Phonic, at the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas. The company says the tool transforms standard stereo into immersive 3D audio for headphone listeners without requiring specialized equipment.
Déjà Phonic is the second product released under the Déjà Vu branding, following the company’s stereo-to-5.1 upmixer. Syndicate of Sounds was founded by broadcast audio engineer Frank Foti.
Foti, who serves as CEO, said, “With Déjà Phonic, we’re bringing the magic of immersive audio to everyday listening. Our goal is to make cutting-edge audio technology accessible to everyone, and Déjà Phonic does just that—turning ordinary stereo into an extraordinary binaural experience.”
The software, priced at $199, works as a stand-alone application for Windows and macOS and is also available as a plug-in for Apple Audio Units and VST. The company says it is compatible with music players, digital audio workstations, gaming consoles and streaming platforms. It is also part of the Déjà Vu SDK for OEM integration.
Syndicate of Sounds will demonstrate Déjà Phonic at booth N2553 throughout the 2025 NAB Show. The company says it will also host expert-led sessions on the technology and its applications in music, podcasts, gaming and film.
Pre-orders will open during the show, with shipping expected in Q3 2025.
