For the first time, The Podcast Show — May 24–25, in London — will feature a special Preview Night on Tuesday, May 23, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ticket-holders will be able to walk the show floor and get a sneak peek at the activations and exhibitions ahead of the doors opening to the public the following day. The organizers say there will be complimentary drinks, music, networking opportunities and the chance to share the floor with some of the biggest names in the industry.
British radio and TV host Nihal Arthanayake will host the evening and moderate a keynote session with members of the Podcast Show’s advisory panel titled, ‘A Glimpse at the Global Market.’
Broadcaster and founder of the “Happy Place” brand, Fearne Cotton, will present the inaugural International Podcast Trailblazer Award to Ashley Flowers, recognizing her global impact on the podcast industry. Flowers hosts the top true crime podcast “Crime Junkie” and is the founder and chief creative officer of audiochuck. Flowers says, “I’m so grateful to The Podcast Show for this incredible honor. To be recognized for our work at audiochuck at an event that acknowledges the many talented storytellers in our industry means so much to me, and I can’t wait to celebrate with our Crime Junkies in London!”
Following the presentation, Holly Bott, global managing director of entertainment at YMU Group, will chat with Fearne Cotton about her Happy Place podcast and the broader Happy Place brand, which includes the festival, app and books.
