Commercial radio reaches 12.4 million weekly listeners in Australia

Stuttgart Media University, known in German as Hochschule der Medien, HdM, has, according to a release, “comprehensively modernized its central recording studio,” with Lawo equipment.
The precise items detailed, “… an mc²56 MkIII production console. Configured with 32 faders, an A__UHD Core (licensed for 256 DSP channels), an A__stage64 stagebox, and a Power Core with Dante interface…”
HdM’s needs are expansive ranging “from classical chamber music, jazz and big band to film soundtracks, radio plays, and sound design for animation and gaming” so getting the selections right was paramount.
HdM Audiovisual Media program Professor Oliver Curdt said, “We need a console that covers the entire workflow, from recording to mixing to post-production, and adapts easily to a wide variety of setups.” He added, “The mc²56 not only meets these technical requirements but also enables real-time configuration adjustments — such as adapting to more aux sends and fewer groups at short notice.”
Curdt also noted workflow design, security and customization options along with tech support and training as key criteria where Lawo impressed HdM.
