International media organizations warn over Czech public media funding debate
The education arm of equipment maker Lawo, Lawo Academy, has a new course for users of its crystal and mc2 consoles, “Crystal and mc² Series OSC Controller mode Quick Start.”
An announcement explained, “This course introduces the Lawo crystal’s Controller mode (based on OSC commands) and how it can be integrated into an mc² console environment. It explores the hardware layout, key features, and the basic setup workflow for expanding an existing mc² system with an additional crystal surface.”
Getting into the details it listed:
- “Overview of the crystal hardware concept, including the difference between the Main Module and Fader Modules;
- Understanding the fader strip functions: motorized faders, touch displays, user buttons, rotary controls, and strip assignment keys;
- Introduction to the central control section and how it supports banking, parameter control, and monitoring;
- How crystal connects to the mc² control network, and the options for using it as an add-on mixer or a standalone surface;
- Step-by-step setup basics: powering up, identifying the IP address, and accessing the configuration settings via the web interface.”
The course is free to Lawo Academy members.
