Sennheiser Spectera sits at center of NEP Australia’s audio overhaul
Finland-based speaker manufacturer Genelec has made an announcement that should warm the hearts of its dedicated speaker base (and potential buyers). It is introducing a five-year warranty on its products. That extends the current two-year warranty.
But wait, there’s more! This warranty can be applied not to just new speakers but also those already in the field. This includes parts and labor.
Genelec’s International Sales Director Ole Jensen explained, “We’ve always been focused on designing loudspeaker solutions that provide decades of reliable performance for our customers, but we also want to offer them the extra peace of mind that comes with a secure extended warranty.” He added, “We’re confident that our new five-year warranty will make our customers’ lives easier, highlight the trustworthiness of the Genelec brand, and signal our continued commitment to sustainable development.”
To take advantage of Genelec’s largesse a customer needs to register the monitors with Genelec at its website. It notes that effort “has been made faster and simpler by providing QR codes on product packaging to allow easy scanning of models and serial numbers. Once the customer’s details and proof of purchase are uploaded, Genelec distributor service centers worldwide can quickly verify the warranty status of any models returned for repair.”
