GatesAir has announced the hiring of Emmanuel Franco as service support engineer. Franco brings nearly 20 years of experience with broadcast RF systems to the global services team. He reports to David Motley, service support manager.
Franco joins GatesAir following a 15-year tenure at Broadcast Electronics, where he worked on AM, FM and TV transmitter installations and servicing. His role at GatesAir will include on-site installations, remote technical support and customer training seminars. His bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is expected to strengthen GatesAir’s support capabilities, particularly in Latin America, where he previously led technical support initiatives.
“Emmanuel’s extensive experience and bilingual skills align perfectly with our mission to provide world-class support,” said Brent Whelan, director of services at GatesAir. “His expertise in radio combined with his knowledge of STL systems will benefit our customers, ensuring they receive prompt and effective service.”
Whelan added that Franco’s experience in troubleshooting, software installation and customer relationship management will enhance his ability to deliver exceptional service across on-site and remote scenarios.
“I am excited to join GatesAir and continue supporting over-the-air broadcasters worldwide,” said Franco. “I look forward to building strong relationships with our customers and ensuring they have the support they need to keep their operations running smoothly.”
