If you need a little diversion at the NAB Show next month — just a short break from the business of broadcast — stroll by the Syndicate of Sounds booth, N2553, to check out one of Frank Foti’s little projects that he’s been working on the last couple of years.
The Omnia Audio founder and executive chairman of the Telos Alliance says, “My life’s goal has been to create listening experiences that truly capture listeners.” To whit, he’s been working on Déjà Vu, a stereo to 5.1 surround sound converter.
He explains, “Déjà Vu ups the ante by transforming stereo content to give listeners a whole new way to experience their favorite music — in discrete 5.1 surround sound. It’s like you’re sitting in with the band! You’ve got to hear it to believe it.”
Foti adds, “Music heard in 5.1 surround sound offers an immersive experience that stereo simply cannot match. It allows listeners to feel as if they are inside the music, surrounded by the instruments and vocals, creating a more engaging and emotional connection to the performance.”
If you’re really lucky Foti might be around to give you the VIP presentation.
