Dielectric has partnered with Brazilian systems integrator Foccus Digital to expand its FM radio business in the country. Foccus Digital, which has offices in São Paulo and Minas Gerais, will manage distribution, integration and local service, strengthening Dielectric’s presence and customer relationships.
The companies will highlight the partnership at SET Expo in São Paulo from Aug. 19–21. Foccus Digital will exhibit at Booth 33C, and Dielectric says it will preview a new antenna designed for Brazil’s upcoming “TV 3.0” services, alongside its FM product line.
While Dielectric has long supplied high-power TV antenna systems in Brazil, the company says the collaboration with Foccus Digital will help broaden its FM market share, including support for single-frequency networks (SFNs) and coastal deployments.
Innovation for Brazilian broadcasters
“Foccus Digital has installed thousands of TV and radio transmitters throughout Brazil, and works closely with customers to specify and service complete broadcast systems,” said Daniel Bizet, international sales manager at Dielectric. “Dielectric’s reputation for quality, longevity and performance is well established in Brazil, and Foccus Digital’s full-service team of sales, engineering and service professionals will help us extend our brand recognition and find new growth opportunities.”
Foccus Digital has already secured new FM projects for Dielectric, including a single-frequency network in Florianópolis, the capital of Santa Catarina.
“This is an SFN with a main station and several lower-power sites with GatesAir transmitters and networking equipment, and Dielectric offered a technical solution to transmit broadcast content to very specific areas of the city without signal overlap,” said Cesar Donato, president of Foccus Digital. “It’s just one example of the variety of FM and UHF products they offer to compete in Brazil, strengthened through attractive pricing. Dielectric will also innovate for Brazilian broadcasters with a new antenna for the 300 MHz spectrum, cleared for TV 3.0 services. We look forward to unveiling our go-to-market strategy at SET Expo.”
