Barix has introduced the IP Former TPA400, an IP speaker amplifier the company says can transform any speaker into an IP speaker.
Barix says connecting the IP Former to any loudspeaker — either while in production or in existing installations — enables audio-streaming over the internet with a reliable, fast-reactive connection, storing capabilities and VoIP/SIP negotiation.
The company says it is ideal for speakers to play background music, live announcements in schools, retail, offices, emergency warning systems and notifications over SIP.
It adds that the IP Former is also Plenum Rated per UL2043 standard for fire tests for heat and visible smoke release for discrete products installed in air-handling spaces.
