The Alliance for IP Media Solutions, in partnership with the Video Services Forum (VSF) and the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), has announced the speaker lineup and presentation schedule for IP Oktoberfest 2021, a live, interactive virtual event for broadcast and Pro AV professionals to be held Sept. 28–30. The free event will focus on the industry’s progress toward an all-IP ecosystem supporting today’s real-world media productions.
AIMS chairman of the board Michael Cronk says, “We’ve developed a strong lineup of experts from leading technology suppliers and forward-looking media organizations. These experts will share their insights and experiences to support the broader industry moving toward IP.”
According to AIMS, IP Oktoberfest 2021 will run daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET (4 p.m. to 8 p.m. CEST) and go beyond the webinar format to provide education, interaction, and networking opportunities in an online environment. It will include a live presentation stage, virtual pub, and meeting and networking areas.
The first day of the event will focus primarily on the IPMX (Internet Protocol Media Experience) proposed set of open standards and specifications to enable the carriage of compressed and uncompressed video, audio, and data over IP networks for the Pro AV market. Day Two will focus on audio and the role of NMOS in supporting IP-based workflows. The third and final day will focus on Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and media networking.
There is no cost to participate in IP Oktoberfest 2021, and registration details are online here.
