WorldDAB has announced a technical seminar examining resilience and implementation challenges in DAB+ broadcast networks.
The SNIC Seminar on DAB+ resilience and implementation will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. CET. The event will be held in a hybrid format, with in-person participation at the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva and an online option for remote attendees.
According to WorldDAB, the seminar is organized by its Spectrum and Networking Implementation Committee. It is aimed at broadcasters, network operators and manufacturers involved in the design and operation of DAB+ transmission infrastructure.
The program will address technical and operational aspects of building robust DAB+ networks, including transmitter resilience, backup strategies, energy supply, antenna system redundancy, signal distribution and headend stability. WorldDAB says the focus is on practical approaches to maintaining service continuity and network reliability.
The seminar will be chaired by Hanns Wolter, technical director at DAB Italia and chair of the WorldDAB Spectrum and Networking Implementation Committee. Speakers include Lars-Peder Lundgren, CEO of Paneda Sweden; Wolfgang Peters, managing director at AVT Audio Video Technologies; Alexander Kurz, sales director EMEA at GatesAir; and Carlo Perotta, sales manager at Aldena.
WorldDAB says the seminar is free to attend and forms part of its ongoing work to support the rollout and long-term operation of DAB+ services worldwide.
