WorldCast Systems has released version 1.4 of its Audemat MC6 platform, introducing new capabilities for DAB+ mobile measurements and expanding laboratory testing and automation functions.
The Audemat MC6 is designed as a test-and-measurement platform for FM and DAB+ environments. According to WorldCast, version 1.4 adds integrated analog audio, AES audio and MPX signal generation, allowing users to generate reference signals for calibration and equipment alignment without relying on external generators.
The update also introduces a new Automatic Lab Measurements module that adds distortion analysis capabilities. WorldCast says the platform now supports remote control via Telnet, enabling integration into automated test benches and site and factory acceptance testing workflows.
Gregory Mercier, director of product marketing at WorldCast Systems, said the update was shaped by customer feedback across broadcast and regulatory use cases. “Version 1.4 reflects the close collaboration we maintain with broadcasters and regulators who increasingly rely on the MC6 in both the field and the lab,” Mercier said. “Their feedback directly shaped these enhancements, from advanced DAB+ measurement to integrated signal generation and automation. Our goal is to provide a single, versatile platform that supports network deployment, optimization and production testing with maximum efficiency and confidence.”

For field applications, WorldCast says the update improves DAB and DAB+ analysis during mobile measurement campaigns. Version 1.4 introduces enriched embedded data to support more detailed Single Frequency Network (SFN) analysis, providing users with additional visibility into transmitter contributions and network synchronization under real driving conditions.
The company has also extended its GoldenEar audio analysis technology to mobile DAB measurements. WorldCast says GoldenEar provides an objective reception quality score alongside RF and modulation measurements to support network optimization decisions.
Beyond field measurement, WorldCast says the latest release expands the MC6’s role in laboratory and manufacturing environments by combining mobile analysis, integrated signal generation and automated testing functions within a single platform.
The Audemat MC6 v1.4 update is available immediately. WorldCast said the upgrade is included for customers with an active service contract, while additional software modules can be enabled through license activation.
