Aeranti-Corallo raises interference concerns at Italian World Radio Day event
StreamGuys will host a webinar on March 17 to examine how ultra-low-latency streaming can deliver synchronized audio to fans in sports venues.
The session, titled “Bring Back the In-Venue Listening Experience,”will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (6 p.m. CET).
According to the company, the webinar will explore how clubs and broadcasters are using mobile streaming to replace the traditional practice of fans bringing portable AM/FM radios into stadiums to follow live commentary.
Ultra-low latency streaming — often abbreviated as ULLS — is designed to deliver audio with minimal delay so that the commentary heard through a smartphone remains closely synchronized with the live action on the field. The approach has been gaining attention among sports broadcasters and venue operators looking to modernize the in-stadium listening experience while encouraging the use of official team apps.
StreamGuys says the session will examine how the technology is being deployed internationally to support fan engagement and digital revenue opportunities.
The webinar will cover several topics, including strategies for increasing app usage among fans, the use of dynamic ad insertion within venue-based streams and the technical considerations involved in implementing low-latency audio delivery.
The company says attendees will also be able to submit questions about latency and streaming implementation during the session.
