
SwissRadioDay 2025 has confirmed its complete list of speakers for the event taking place Aug. 28 at Kaufleuten in Zurich. Organizers say the conference will bring together leading figures in Swiss and international radio to address the industry’s key challenges and opportunities.
Topics include the role of big tech, media policy, the future of journalism, audience research, AI tools for on-air use and strategies for engaging younger audiences. Highlights include Dr. Martin Andree from the University of Cologne on big tech’s impact; SRG SSR Director General Susanne Wille on the public broadcaster’s media mandate; and EBU Head of Radio Edita Kudlacova in two separate “10-minute” sessions.
Other sessions will explore understanding Generation ZAlpha, measuring future radio listening, copyright issues from SUISA’s perspective, the appeal of 1980s and 1990s hits and insights into podcast production standards. Industry specialists will also discuss radio’s advantages over other media, the shift away from FM and the outlook for digital migration.
