Super Hi-Fi, a provider of AI-powered radio experiences for broadcasters and digital media platforms, has announced the release of VoiceIQ 2.0, the upgraded version of its AI-powered mastering and post-production technology. With VoiceIQ 2.0, voice talent can now deliver high-quality voice tracks using a USB microphone and laptop from virtually any location, removing the need for expensive studio equipment or outboard gear.
Super Hi-Fi says VoiceIQ has been used by large-scale music services to enhance voice-focused listening experiences. With VoiceIQ 2.0, FM broadcasters can take advantage of the updated features explicitly designed for FM radio voice tracks. “As more broadcasters sign up with Super Hi-Fi, we are investing in our technology platform to simplify radio production, reduce costs, and improve quality,” said Brendon Cassidy, chief scientist and CTO of Super Hi-Fi.
Removing background noise
VoiceIQ 2.0 introduces Noise Eraser, a feature that automatically removes background noise from voice track recordings. It filters out sounds like vacuum cleaners, fans, air-conditioning, and even overhead airplanes or barking dogs, ensuring listeners hear clear voice tracks.
The new version also includes FM Voice Profiles designed to enhance the sound of voice tracks on FM broadcasts. These features include new EQ curves and dynamic variable compression, helping to ensure consistent sound quality on air, regardless of the recording environment.
VoiceIQ 2.0 processes recordings up to twice as fast as the previous version and integrates with Super Hi-Fi’s Voicetrack Fusion workflow tools, allowing users to preview the results quickly.
VoiceIQ 2.0 is part of Super Hi-Fi’s broader effort to evolve its platform for FM-grade broadcasting. This update aims to improve efficiency and consistency in voice production for any audio use case that requires high-quality voice tracks.
