Broadcast equipment manufacturer Sonifex has announced a number of personnel changes.
Most noted is the retirement of 49-year company vet Eamonn Heffernan. You read that right — 49 years with Sonifex. His final job was as sales manager. However, over the decades he had pretty much bounced through every department, including even product designs.
Sonifex CEO Marcus Brooke said, “I think I can speak for everyone here when I say what a genuine privilege it has been to work alongside Eamonn over the years. Throughout his 49-year career, he has taken on a wide range of roles within the company and carried out each one with the utmost professionalism.”
Richard Butlin has been promoted as his head of sales successor. Butlin himself is a company vet of length. The announcement noted, “Richard has worked closely alongside Eamonn for almost 40 years and brings extensive experience across Sonifex’s product portfolio, customer base, and global partners, making him the perfect fit.”
The new face at Sonifex is James Gross, product and audio specialist for the sales team. He joined Sonifex Dec. 15. Gross has technical and practical knowledge of audio and recording equipment practices. He has been at the Royal Academy of Music and worked for the BBC, SADiE and HHB.
