
Javier Sanchez, the director of the Audiovisual Policy and Public Service Department at Spanish public broadcaster Radiotelevisión Española, will headline the speaker list at the upcoming annual WorldDAB Automotive event June 19 in Madrid.
RTVE adopted DAB+ last year for Radio Nacional de España’s digital radio broadcasts, now available in 15 cities in Spain.

The focus of the conference is digital radio in the automobile.
Also expected on the dais are Chris Gould, vice president, All in Media, an Xperi division, and Gereon Joachim, vice president, Automotive Sales and Strategy, EMEA for Xperi. Xperi is a sponsor of the show. Gould and Joachim will be discussing the role of connected cars play in the adoption and success of DAB+ across Europe, according to the announcement.
Other speakers will include Lizzie Young of Australia’s Commercial Radio & Audio; Radio France Secretary General Charles-Emmanuel Bon; Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR Project Manager Adriano Pitteri; EBU Connected Car Playbook Coordinator Tomas Granryd; Jaume Pujol, Cellnex Telecom; and others.
