The DRM Consortium has announced that registration is now open for its pre-IBC2022 virtual event, themed “DRM — A Platform for All,” scheduled for Sept. 6, from 12 to 3 p.m. UTC (2 to 5 p.m. CEST).
The consortium says this will be a chance for those interested in DRM’s performance or manufacturing to get a full update from the comfort of their office or home or on the move. The event will showcase the practical advances of DRM in 2021 and 2022 with an illustrated, global view of the DRM standard and its latest receiver developments and projects.

The event is part of a three-event hybrid for IBC2022. The other two events, both live during IBC, will continue with the theme “DRM — A Platform for All.” The first of those events is a “meet and greet” with the DRM members and specialists at RAI Amsterdam. This event is on Sept. 10, from 9 to 10 a.m. UTC (11 a.m. to 12 p.m. CEST) at the Fraunhofer IIS stand, Hall 8 B80.
This event will also preface the main DRM event in the afternoon of the same day at the Nautel stand, Hall 8 C71, from 1 to 3 p.m. (3 to 5 p.m. CEST). “DRM Is Ready for FM” is an event co-hosted with Nautel and will bring the latest on the India DRM for FM trial, more information on the multi-configuration in DRM for FM, new receiver solutions and transmitter improvements.
DRM Chair Ruxandra Obreja says various companies are supporting the events, including Fraunhofer IIS, Nautel, Gospell, Ampegon, Encompass Media, RFmondial, NXP, CML Microcircuits/Cambridge Consultants, Starwaves, OptM, RF2Digital, Skyworks, PBC and Inntot India.
