Radioline announces UX App upgrades and updated content classification

Digital radio provider Radioline has introduced upgrades across its range of apps, which the company says, optimizes the platform user interface across multiple devices.

Radioline aggregates more than 110,000 stations and podcasts from 161 countries and points out that its latest updates introduce a range of new features to provide a “seamless” listening experience across mobile, tablet, web, connected TV and automated devices.

These upgrades include a new “Export to Playlist” feature that allows users to add music they are listening to live on air to their Spotify and Deezer playlists, which Radioline explains creates a bridge between live radio and music streaming platforms.

Radioline also offers a new Hybrid radio solution that’s an integrated option for hybrid radio to OEMs, triggering from the broadcast or broadband signal for optimum reception.

Finally, its Marketplace feature provides additional integration with gaming, couponing via audio ads, and ticketing from artist metadata in a partnership with the United States-based platform Connected Travel and other OEMs.

Radioline adds that its UI and UX is now optimized for different devices and specific use contexts, with other features including the ability for all apps to sync to a specific user account;  Autoplay, with automatic restart of the last content played; a Resume Playback feature that plays podcasts from the last stop point; Favorites, which can now be synchronized across all devices; adjustable playback speed of podcasts from 0.25x to 2x; and the ability to download entire podcast episodes.

In addition, Radioline has also upgraded its service to hand-pick selections from its catalog into two curated lists. It says the service offers a worldwide selection across 17 genres of the best global music stations, as well as a collection of radio stations streaming high quality audio in 320 Kbps or more.
