BBC World Service launches emergency radio program for Iran audiences
Radiodays Europe Malmö 2022 will host the European premiere of “Worst to First: The True Story of Z100 New York.” The feature-length documentary portrays the against-all-odds inspirational story of one of America’s most iconic radio stations.
Launched from the swamps of New Jersey in 1983, Z100 had a less-than-auspicious start. Artists shunned interviews, and the DJs had to buy their own records. Yet somehow, it went on to become one of the most respected brands in American broadcasting.
The film features Scott Shannon and several other Hall of Fame radio personalities and industry legends like Clive Davis and Elvis Duran. It also features some of American music’s biggest names who launched their careers at Z100, including Jon Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, Nile Rodgers, Debbie Gibson and Taylor Dayne.

Radiodays Europe Malmö 2022 will host the premier during Movie Night at the MalmöMässan, Malmö, Sweden, on Sunday, May 15. Special guests will join for a Q&A after the showing.
Seats are limited, and it’s first-come, first-served, so registration for Radiodays Europe is essential.
Movie Night is part of the full program of events at Radiodays Europe. If you wish to attend, the Early Bird ticket price is €499EUR until Monday, Feb. 28. After this, the price goes up.
