Radiodays Asia 2025 has announced several new program elements, including a series of hands-on pre-conference workshops focused on practical skills for radio, podcast and audio professionals. All workshops will take place on Monday, Sept. 1.
Among them is “AI tools for radio, podcasts and social video,” led by U.K.-based audio specialist and Music Radio Creative founder Mike Russell. The session will demonstrate how AI can help accelerate content creation, from brainstorming and editing to translation and promotion, utilizing simple, no-code workflows.
Also on the pre-conference agenda is “Mastering the positive brag,” a session on personal branding led by Rosie Kendrick, communications lead for Radiodays Europe and Asia. The workshop aims to help participants enhance self-promotion and craft polished bios or LinkedIn profiles.
A third workshop, “Sustainability in audio,” will be hosted by Steve Ahern, editor of Audioinfo. It will examine cost-saving and future-proofing strategies for the industry, including AI-generated sales demos, transmission innovations, and voice cloning tools.
In the main conference program, a session titled “Navigating the shift from linear to digital” will feature Cathinka Rondan, head of radio at NRK in Norway, and Niken Sistha Sasmaya, chief content officer at Mahaka Radio Integra and Noice in Indonesia. Organizers say the panel will examine NRK’s digital transformation strategy and its relevance for broadcasters across Asia.
Entries are now open for the 2025 Asia Podcast Awards, which will be presented during the event. This year’s awards cover 26 categories and aim to showcase excellence in podcasting across the region.
The event is Sept. 1-3, at Hotel Aryaduta Menteng in Jakarta. The venue will not only host the entire event but also serve as the official delegate hotel, offering special room rates for attendees.
