Radio BOO adopts Power Studio automation for multi-platform delivery
Since Sept. 1, 2025, the Netherlands has a new radio brand: Kiss FM. The station targets today’s generation and can be heard on multiple FM frequencies in the Randstad — the densely populated metropolitan region in the western Netherlands that includes the cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht — via DAB+ in much of western Netherlands, and worldwide online. With its hits-only format, the station says it is positioning itself as a fresh alternative in a market where many players revised their programming following the nationwide FM and DAB+ frequency auction in 2023.
The station began September with nonstop music while optimizing its transmitter network and will introduce full programming on Sept. 29 at 7 a.m. The lineup combines experienced presenters with new talent, and the team is encouraging creators to submit demos via info@kissfm.nl.
Morning anchored by Dimitris Kops

The flagship morning show is hosted by Dimitris Kops, a well-known Dutch radio personality with previous roles at Radio Veronica, Slam!, Qmusic and Radio 538. “I want to wake listeners up with positive energy, surprising stories and, of course, the best hits,” he said. “Kiss FM feels like a new era, and I can’t wait to be a part of it every morning.”
Kops is joined on the weekday schedule by Sjoerd de Graaff and Quinten van Hilten, both of whom bring experience from other stations. “The morning is the most important time of the day, and that’s why we’re proud that Dimitris Kops will be taking over,” said Kiss FM spokesperson Victoria Hensen. “With Sjoerd de Graaff and Quinten van Hilten also on the lineup, we’re taking a strong first step in our programming. Their experience and fresh energy perfectly match the sound and ambitions of Kiss FM.” Weekday programming runs from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. with Kops, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with de Graaff, and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with van Hilten.
Hybrid listening and fresh sound
According to Hensen, Kiss FM is combining FM reach with digital engagement to meet changing listening habits. “Kiss FM brings today’s hits, follows TikTok trends and looks at what scores on streaming,” she said. “We combine FM as a showcase with the real online experience, through our stream and on social media.”
The technology stack includes a DHD mixer, OmniPlayer 3 and StereoTool for sound processing, delivering what the team describes as a fresh, modern sound that can compete with established national broadcasters. By pairing this technical backbone with a clear musical identity, Kiss FM is seeking to appeal to listeners who want consistency in hit-driven programming.
Coverage and ownership
Kiss FM broadcasts on FM across the Randstad and surrounding areas, including Almere (97.4), Alkmaar (96.3), Den Helder (96.0), Haarlem (97.3), Lelystad (89.4) and Emmeloord (97.5). Additionally, the station is available via DAB+ in North Holland, South Holland, Flevoland and Zeeland, as well as worldwide through its livestream.
The brand is part of the newly formed Dutch QAS Radio Group, which also operates GLXY.Radio, GLXY.State, GLXY.Throwback, Girlpower Radio, Hofstad Radio, The Groove and Arrow Blues. Together, these stations cover a wide range of audiences and musical styles, with the group already running online advertising through Gallio.
With FM coverage, DAB+ reach, online streaming, experienced DJs and a focus on hits, Kiss FM says it is positioning itself as a strong new entrant in the Dutch market while offering a platform for both established and emerging talent.
