As the IBC show approaches show organizers are pointing to a number of programs for attention. After all, it’s a big show and impossible to see everything so some direction might be needed.
One interesting item is the IBC x Google Cloud Hackfest, scheduled as a two-day event, Sept. 13–14. Here’s how the IBC describes it, “Calling innovators, engineers, content creators and all those looking to create the future of broadcast technology. Gear up for some hands on tech creativity at the intersection of broadcast, monetization and of course AI.”
More pitch: “Tackle Diverse Challenges: Utilize Google Cloud to build out your channel and your content and innovate and create with AI. Connect & Collaborate: Team up, test your skills, and build something awesome together. Hear from experts: We’ll have lightning talk sessions throughout the day.”
It’s free and show organizers are looking for contestants wanting to test their tech savvy.
Also free and back for a second run is the IBC Talent Programme, Sept. 12. IBC describe it as “dedicated to empowering the next generation of professionals shaping media, entertainment and technology. With a wide range of sessions and speakers from across the industry, the programme covers everything from mentoring and career pathways to practical skills and inclusion.”
The IBC show is Sept. 12–15 in Amsterdam.
