The DRM Consortium has released some of its plans for the upcoming IBC2025 show, Sept. 12–15, Amsterdam.
The digital radio spec promoter said it was putting the spotlight on DRM-capable receivers, noting it would “give the latest on receivers and receiver solutions in a session hosted for the first time at the Starwaves booth, part of the German Pavilion.” The time would be 4–5:30 p.m., on Sept. 12, Stand 8B30h.
On the 13th, “Fraunhofer IIS invites all those interested in digital radio to stop and join them at 4–5:30 p.m. to get the latest developments and announcements on DRM, like the R8 release of the DRM ContentServer technology and potentially an important industry cooperation project on the receiver side.” Fraunhofer will be at Stand 8B80.
DRM Chairman Ruxandra Obreja said, “The theme of this year’s IBC [Shaping the Future] is perfectly aligned with the DRM message of ensuring your connected future. Enabling rich content in very good audio quality, accompanied by rich multimedia, delivering emergency warnings (EWF) and distance learning are just some of the aspects we will illustrate at IBC2025.”
DRM has a web page for the show, so check it for updates.
