Continuing in the theme of the Storm Season — everything you wanted to know about Digital Radio Mondial’s Emergency Warning Functionality. The EWF is the digital radio format’s messaging system for interrupting programming and distributing emergency alerts and information to listeners.
DRM has posted a web page dedicated to explaining the system and features along with providing links to important materials. A very nice, detailed poster is available there.
There is also a PDF primer outlining the features and operation of the format’s Emergency Warning Functionality.
Don’t wait until there is an emergency to start learning.
