WorldCast Systems has posted a user report for its Ecreso 2 kW AiO transmitter written by Hal Kneller, a well-known Unites States radio engineering vet.
Kneller is director of engineering for Lecom Radio. The transmitter is for the company’s Port Charlotte, Fla., station, WVIJ(FM). The station is part of a five-station cluster in the sunny Sarasota, Fla., area.
According to Kneller it is the first Ecreso 2 kW AiO on the air in the Americas.
He provides a detailed tour of the transmitter’s construction and almost a step-by-step account of the installation.
Kneller cites the onboard five-band processor, various backup sound options and use of installation and use. He is particularly impressed with the power efficiency. He also likes WorldCast’s U.S.-based customer service.
