WorldDAB to spotlight DAB+ at MBT Conference 2026

WorldDAB will sponsor next week’s MBT Conference 2026 in Skopje, North Macedonia, where broadcasters, network operators, regulators and technology companies will discuss the future of broadcasting and telecommunications across Central and Southeast Europe.

The annual conference, organized by Public Enterprise National Broadcasting, which is responsible for developing and operating North Macedonia’s national broadcasting transmission infrastructure, is widely regarded as one of the region’s leading broadcast industry events. The event is June 1–3 at the Holiday Inn Skopje.

WorldDAB President Jacqueline Bierhorst will present “Securing the future of radio with DAB+” during the conference’s opening broadcasting session. The session will also feature a keynote presentation on 5G Broadcast by Jean-Pierre Faisan of BNE, a presentation on the implementation of North Macedonia’s DAB+ project by Blagoj Ancev of Public Enterprise National Broadcasting, and a contribution from transmitter manufacturer Nautel.

Later in the day, Bierhorst will join a panel discussion titled “Broadcasting Tomorrow” alongside Faisan, Boris Arsov of North Macedonia’s Agency for Electronic Communications and Robert Ordanovski of transmission system operator AD Mepso.

WorldDAB said the conference provides an opportunity for broadcasters, network operators and technology providers to exchange ideas on the future of radio and media distribution. The MBT Association includes WorldDAB members OIV Croatia and RTV Slovenija, reflecting the organization’s links with broadcasters and transmission operators across the region.
