One of the oldest radio stations in Turkey has upgraded its radio studio in Istanbul with a 12-fader AEQ FORUM SPLIT digital console.
Turkiye Polis Radyosu has been on air since 1952 and is affiliated to the Protocol and Media Public Relations Department of the Turkish Police. The station broadcasts nationally on FM and AM, and worldwide via the www.polisradiosu.pol.tr website, mobile app and the TÜRKSAT 4A satellite.
With a programming format developed by the Turkish Police, Turkiye Polis Radyosu broadcasts high public interest content with a focus on local news, education and health programs, as well as informing the public about emergency situations or crimes.
It is the third upgrade by the Turkiye Polis Radyosu to rely on AEQ consoles. The station recently updated its main studio in Ankara with a 16-fader AEQ Grand Forum digital console and its Persembe studio with a 12-fader AEQ Forum.
AEQ says the FORUM IP SPLIT version installed in Istanbul comes with its FR Core 3U modular engine and can expand to six-quad fader modules as well as a control and monitoring unit. The company claims that the Forum IP adapts to a variety of environments and can be equipped with AoIP I/O cards to enable connectivity over AES67 via Dante.
Turkiye Polis Radyosu has production studios in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Persembe, and Diyarbakir. The project was integrated by AEQ’s local Turkish partner Ideapro and the station was officially unveiled by the Turkey’s Minister of Transport Mr Zu.
