Ensemble pour le DAB+ urges French government to strengthen public support
Triton Digital has released the September 2022 Canada Podcast Ranker. Highlights in this month’s Ranker include:
- Dateline NBC (NBCUniversal News Group) was the top-ranked podcast overall.
- SXM Media earned the number one spot on the Top Networks Report with 4.53 million average weekly downloads, CBC/Radio-Canada earned the second spot with 2.40 million, and Wondery Network third with 2.30 million.
- Debuts for the top-ranked podcasts included Sexe Oral (TPX Podcast Network), “Les Chroniques de Pierre-Yves McSween” (Cogeco Media), “Sans Filtre Podcast” (TPX Podcast Network), and “Invisibilia” (NPR).
- The debuts for Canada-originated English-language podcasts included “Pressure Cooker” (CBC/Radio-Canada) and “The Outlaw Ocean” (CBC/Radio-Canada). Debuts on the Canada-originated French-language list include “La journée – est encore jeune” (Radio Canada) and “Faut qu’on s’appelle” (TPX Podcast Network).
Additionally, Triton Digital has announced that Buenos Aires-based Radio Mitre SA, will now use its services. The Argentinian broadcaster will migrate over 200 live and web radio stations to Triton Digital.
Triton released its first Canadian podcasts ranking in April 2022.
