Dielectric explains that its new RingMaster series of high-efficiency FM antenna systems merges new and proven technology to create more economical, efficient and adaptable solutions for side-mount antennas.
RingMaster is essentially a groundbreaking design concept for Dielectric’s series of DCR side-mounted ring antennas. The already lightweight DCR Series further reduces system complexity and tower load through streamlined builds that utilize up to 33% fewer components, primarily by reducing the number of radiating elements.
According to the company, this correlates with a unique design that enables broadcasters to achieve the rich, detailed audio quality of full FM bandwidth, utilizing a convergence of full-wave and half-wave spacing. The RingMaster design uses half-wave spaced arrays in key areas of the system and transitions to full-wave spacing at a precise point, maintaining full FM bandwidth throughout the remainder of the system with fewer rings, adds Dielectric.
RingMaster antennas also provide customers with near-complete control over shaping elevation patterns. The technology improves elevation pattern control through design flexibility, including simplified vertical shaping. These improvements eliminate the traditional methods required to maintain uniform radiating phases throughout a broadcast market.
