The Falcon X7 is the premier model in AxelTech’s new generation of audio processors, the company says. Axel says it is known for its traditional quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
It adds that the Falcon features the innovative New Falcon Platform, which delivers advanced technology for ease of use while producing high-quality sound. All Falcon processors support multiple inputs and outputs, including analog, digital and AoIP. They can handle two audio streams as input (either stereo or mono) and produce an output audio stream.
The Falcon X7 can stream audio using various codecs and transport methods. It supports various audio formats, including AAC, MP3 and Opus, enabling it to adapt to different streaming needs.
It’s compatible with popular streaming servers like IceCast and works over standard internet protocols, ensuring it can send and receive audio efficiently. This means it can work both in one-to-one (unicast) and group (multicast) settings.
Moreover, the X7 allows users to add extra information, such as song titles or artist names, to the audio stream in various ways — either set in advance or updated in real time.
