RCS Worldwide has promoted Alissa Pollack to president of Mediabase, its platform for airplay analytics, chart intelligence and music data. Pollack will retain her responsibilities as president of global music marketing at iHeartMedia. In her expanded role, she will direct Mediabase’s strategy, global expansion, product development and commercial growth.
RCS plans to develop Mediabase beyond its established airplay charts into a broader global music intelligence platform. The service provides data to record labels, broadcasters, artists, managers, publishers, streaming platforms, agencies and brands. As one of her first initiatives, Pollack has made the Top 50 Mediabase charts for every U.S. and Canadian format publicly accessible through an updated Mediabase website.
Pollack has more than two decades of experience developing data platforms, marketing services and partnerships connecting brands with artists. Her previous work has combined music intelligence with audience insights to inform campaign planning and performance measurement. RCS Worldwide CEO and President Susan Larkin noted, “Alissa has spent her career at the intersection of music, data and relationships, which is exactly where Mediabase lives. This promotion is a recognition of everything she has already built and a reflection of our confidence in where she will take Mediabase next.”
Pollack described her responsibilities at Mediabase and iHeartMedia as complementary because both focus on helping the industry make decisions through audience and market insights. She added, “Mediabase has earned its reputation as the gold standard in music data, and I see an incredible opportunity to build on that legacy by expanding our global reach and delivering intelligence that helps our partners not just discover what’s happening now but shapes what happens next.” Pollack said the expanded public access to charts would give music professionals, artists and fans greater visibility into music performance and trends across North America.
