Music education platform Music Production for Women will host Soundlab 2026, a free online workshop series in July that aims to help women and non-binary musicians build music production skills.
MPW will run the two-part event on July 14 and 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. EDT (midnight to 3 a.m. CEST the following day). Founder and CEO Xylo Aria, together with guest educators and industry professionals, will lead six workshops covering beatmaking, arrangement, creative transitions, spatial mixing and audio processing.
MPW says the beginner-focused program provides participants with a structured path through the music production process, helping them avoid the confusion that can arise from relying on online tutorials alone. Participants can also join virtual networking sessions to connect with creators from around the world.
According to MPW, a previous online event attracted more than 2,500 registrants from 120 countries. The organization also says it has supported more than 10,000 students through its online courses and in-person workshops since Aria founded the company eight years ago.
“I am hoping we can inspire attendees who have always wanted to produce but felt intimidated by the technology to take their very first steps,” Aria said. “I know having an event like this available when I first started out would have made production feel so much more accessible and achievable to me.”
MPW says registration for Soundlab 2026 is free, though attendance is capped.
