MIW opens applications for 2027 digital sales mentorship

Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW), a United States-based nonprofit focused on advancing women’s leadership in radio, is accepting applications for the third year of its Digital Sales Mentorship Program. Applications close Nov. 6.

The year-long program will select one woman working in radio or digital media sales in the United States. Applicants must have at least three years of sales experience. The selected mentee will receive monthly one-on-one coaching from an industry leader, access to digital subject-matter experts and guidance on digital revenue strategy.

Topics include digital marketing and analytics, streaming and podcasting, digital video, cross-platform integration, social media strategy, vendor partnerships, client needs analysis, return on investment measurement, handling client objections and sales leadership development.

“Digital acumen is no longer a specialized skill in the broadcast industry; it’s an essential part of being an effective leader,” said Sheila Kirby, MIW board president. She said the program will help participants strengthen their understanding of audience behavior, digital advertising and revenue opportunities, and the impact of technology on broadcasting.
