On Friday, Dec. 5, Joe DJs Tom De Cock and Rani De Coninck invited Antwerp mayor Els Van Doesburg to launch the Belgian pop station’s live broadcast run from the city’s Grand Place, the main square in the historic center. The station set up its Christmas House there, which runs between Dec. 5 and Jan. 4, which it describes as the warm epicenter of Christmas music, live radio, concerts and the Pakje van je Hart (Package From Your Heart) charity campaign.

“Christmas lights, warm coats and cold noses, combined with live music in a holiday season atmosphere — it’s great to be here,” said De Cock. “What makes the Joe Christmas House really special is to see how people get together and show love for each other,” added De Coninck.
Joe is offering 24/7 holiday programming throughout the season and hosting live rooftop concerts at the Christmas House by artists including Jaap Resema, Barbara Dex and DJ Jarne Ponet.
Listeners are encouraged to donate to the Pakje van je Hart campaign and visit the Christmas House to purchase a charity package. Joe says it will announce the final total on Dec. 18.
