Edison Research reports the U.K. Top 25 podcasts for Q3 2025

Edison Research has released its Top 25 Podcasts in the United Kingdom for the third quarter of 2025, drawn from Edison Podcast Metrics and based on weekly reach among podcast listeners ages 15 and older. The company says the rankings now also include respondents whose only podcast consumption in the past week was through video.

According to the data, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” “The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett” and “The Rest Is Politics” held the top three positions, the same order as in Q2 2025. Edison Research notes that the top six shows remain unchanged, with several shifts elsewhere in the Top 10. “Newscast,” “The News Agents” and “Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster” each moved up one position, while “ShxtsNGigs” rose six places to return to the Top 10 for the first time since Q3 2024.

The company highlights two notable newcomers. “RedHanded,” a true crime podcast hosted by two London-based women, enters the Top 25 for the first time. “You’re Dead to Me” jumps 33 places and returns to the list for the first time since Q1 2025. “The Overlap,” hosted by football commentator Gary Neville, reaches its highest position to date at No. 17 — a spike Edison Research says followed public discussion after a former player criticized the show’s male hosts for overlooking their female co-host.

Edison Research says its methodology does not rely on podcast download data and does not require podcast networks to opt in. At least 2,000 U.K. podcast listeners are surveyed each quarter, with behavior captured regardless of platform. The company has tracked podcast consumption trends since 2006 and released its first U.S. show-level ranker in 2019.
