Comrex to introduce two new Gagl features at 2024 NAB Show

Comrex Gagl + Hotline

Comrex is gearing up to showcase two innovative additions to its Gagl remote contribution service at this year’s NAB Show. The company will introduce Hotline, a significant feature update for Gagl, and Gagl Solo, a new service tier tailored for individual connections.

Gagl allows seamless audio transmission through web browsers to Comrex’s IP audio codecs, like ACCESS and BRIC-Link, and currently supports sessions with up to five remote participants. The newly announced Gagl Solo is explicitly designed for single-guest scenarios, catering to the needs of solo contributors or reporters in the field.

Gagl requires no special hardware or software for remote participants. Users can send and receive high-quality audio with minimal latency using just a computer or smartphone and a headset.

The company says the Hotline feature will revolutionize the clarity of standard cell phone calls for broadcast use. Subscribers to Gagl + Hotline will receive a ten-digit phone number that guests or reporters can call using major cell service providers. This integration ensures HD Voice quality audio is transmitted directly into the Gagl interface, offering what the company claims will be unprecedented on-air sound fidelity.

At the 2024 NAB Show, attendees can explore Gagl Solo, Gagl + Hotline, and the full range of Comrex’s broadcast solutions at booth C2234 in Central Hall.
