Nominations are now open for the fourth annual Canadian Podcast Awards.
The awards were established in 2018 by Podcamp Toronto to showcase Canadian talent and diversity in on-demand digital audio production. Put together by Canadian podcasters, editors and producers, the award show highlights podcasts in a variety of categories.
Entrants have 31 categories to choose from, including Outstanding News & Current Affairs Series, Outstanding Society & Culture Series, Outstanding Documentary Series, Best Host in a Series, Exceptionelle Francophone Series and People’s Choice. The Goyetche Award recognizes podcasters who’ve made an impact and helped grow the community.
The competition is open to podcasters from across the country who meet the eligibility criteria. It is free to enter. Nominations close April 30, 2021.
Adjudicators will be Canadian podcasters who register with the awards website between May 3 and May 28, 2021. Winners will be announced online in June 2021. They will receive a 1-year license for Hindenburg Journalist Pro, courtesy of Hindenburg.

In 2020, 116 podcasts were nominated for awards. Winners included The Gravy Train, Dark Poutine, Diabetes Canada Podcast and On a Dark Cold Night.
