As previously reported, the Telos Alliance debuted at the IBC 2024 show in September a budget-friendly phone call system for radio stations designed to get phone calls on the air.
Now that system, the VX Duo, is shipping according to Telos.
Telos Alliance Product Manager Robbie Green said, “Broadcasters worldwide have relied upon Telos VX VoIP phone systems to bring phone calls into their facilities and get them on the air with the highest possible audio quality for years. VX Duo makes it possible for all broadcasters, even those with a modest budget, to finally transition away from increasingly expensive legacy copper phone lines and reap the cost, reliability, and call quality benefits of a VoIP-based Telos VX system.”
The announcement also explains, “Livewire+ AES67-equipped studios can send and receive audio directly over the AoIP network via one of VX Duo’s two Ethernet ports, while the other provides connectivity to VoIP services. Telos VSet phones, integrated console call controllers, and VX-compatible call screening software all integrate seamlessly with VX Duo.”
