WorldDAB to Hold Workshop at ABU DBS 2021

As part of ABU DBS 2021, WorldDAB will host a DAB+ workshop on Tuesday, April 6, 4:10–5:10 p.m. MYT (10:10–11:10 CET).  The workshop will discuss the latest on the rollout of DAB+ across the APAC region.

Joan Warner, chair of WorldDAB’s Asia-Pacific Committee, starts the hour with talking about the DAB+ status in the Asia Pacific region. WorldDAB president, Patrick Hannon, will then present a global update and discuss the benefits of DAB+.

 

 

In addition, Lindsay Cornell, chairman of the WorldDAB Technical Committee, will give a DAB+ standards update. And, the chair of the WorldDAB Asia Pacific Technical Group, Dr. Les Sabel, will elaborate on how the group supports broadcasters in the APAC region.

Finally, Ron Schiffelers will address getting DAB+ into cars. Schiffeler is senior director of Program Management at NXP Semiconductors. And, Albert Tseng, CEO of Keystone Semiconductor Corp. will discuss solutions available for affordable DAB+ consumer receivers

The workshop ends with Q&A time.
