WorldCast adds to APT IP Streamer range

WorldCast Systems APT IP Silver MPX

WorldCast Systems has announced its latest product — the APT IP Silver MPX encoder and decoder. The company says it designed this new addition to the APT IP Streamer range “to revolutionize the transmission of FM-MPX signals and offer an unparalleled blend of cost efficiency and quality.”

The APT IP Silver MPX can transmit analog composite/MPX signals, including the APTmpX compressed format, which the company says offers “unrivaled signal transparency, minimal encoding delay and exceptional IP transmission stability while significantly reducing the required bandwidth.”

The new encoder/decoder includes advanced networking features such as VLAN tagging, NAT traversal and SureStream Technology. It suits individual MPX-FM feeds and multi-frequency transmission and supports various MPX bandwidths and formats.

The NTP-based time alignment function extends the system’s capabilities, allows precise adjustment of the target latency for each stream, and guarantees seamless program switching between transmitter frequencies. The included intelligent ScriptEasy software allows broadcasters to control and monitor the devices and automate various actions remotely.

WorldCast Systems will be at booth W3449 and the 2024 NAB Show.
